“The search for truth is the journey my artwork strives to express.  Painting has provided me a means of transforming my individual impressions into something universal and beautiful.  I do not wish to illustrate scenes from my own life, my views or emotions; I wish to transcend these limitations and tap into a spiritual realm beyond mundane perception. I begin a painting by opening up to the canvas. As colors and shapes emerge, I strive to create balance and harmony. I am always surprised by the instructive nature of the painting process. I am reminded of the importance of striving for what is highest and best in life. My goal is that the finished paintings will provide a spark to ignite hope and healing in others.”
